State of Associations 2027 Member Webinar

Director of Research Inês Carvalho-Reyes hosts this webinar a week after the State of Associations 2027 report releases, walking members through the fourth edition's methodology and findings. It's aimed at anyone who wants to benchmark their own organization against the survey's results rather than just read the summary — chapter leaders, board members, and staff who report growth and renewal numbers to their own boards.

Carvalho-Reyes and Fieldstone Data Partners, NANA's research partner since the survey's first edition, will walk through this year's survey instrument and how it compares to 2024, 2025, and 2026. The session focuses on how to read your organization's own numbers against the report's benchmarks — by size, by sector, and by region — rather than a top-line summary of the sector as a whole.

The second half is open Q&A, where attendees can bring their own membership and renewal figures and ask what a comparable organization's results looked like in the survey. Carvalho-Reyes said she would take questions on the survey's methodology as well as its findings, including how associations that didn't participate this year can join the panel for 2028.

Executive directors and board members who report growth and renewal figures to their own boards will get the most direct use out of the session, as will research and data staff at larger associations who want the underlying methodology rather than just the summary. Chapter leaders are encouraged to attend so they can bring the findings back to their own chapter meetings, particularly ahead of each chapter's own budget-benchmarking discussions later in the spring.

The webinar is free, open to all members, and recorded for anyone who can't attend live. A written summary of the Q&A goes out to registrants within a week of the session.
