You will run the national conference and four regional trainings for a council that represents managers at 340 non-hub commercial airports. The council's 11-person staff works out of Denver, and this role owns the meetings calendar end to end, from site selection through the post-event survey.

The council represents managers at 340 non-hub commercial airports across the country. Its Denver headquarters runs an 11-person staff serving members who handle everything from FAA compliance to snow-removal budgets at airports too small for a hub carrier's attention.

What you'll do

  • Own the annual conference: site selection, contract negotiation, program design and on-site management for roughly 900 attendees

  • Plan and run four regional training sessions a year, each drawing 40–80 airport managers

  • Manage a conference budget of approximately $1.1M, including sponsor revenue targets

  • Recruit and brief session speakers, including FAA and TSA regional officials

  • Negotiate hotel room blocks and audiovisual contracts

  • Coordinate with the council's sponsorship team to fulfill sponsor deliverables at each event

  • Run the post-conference survey and report results to the board

What you bring

  • 5+ years managing conferences of 500+ attendees, ideally in aviation, transportation or another regulated industry

  • Experience negotiating hotel and venue contracts

  • Comfort working with government speakers and their scheduling constraints

  • Budget management experience, including sponsor revenue tracking

  • Willingness to travel to four regional training sites a year plus the annual conference
