You will plan and run the society's annual conference and regional meetings for 1,450 administrators of hospitals with fewer than 100 beds. You report to the CEO and work from the society's Columbus office.

The society represents 1,450 administrators of hospitals with fewer than 100 beds, with a staff of 19 in Columbus, Ohio. CEO Gordon Ashcombe chaired NANA's board from 2024 to 2025, and General Counsel Moira Kavanagh-Pratt teaches NANA's lobbying-disclosure compliance course.
What you'll do
Plan and run the society's annual conference, including venue and vendor contracts
Negotiate hotel room blocks and travel arrangements for rural attendees
Build the conference agenda with the CEO and program committee
Manage registration, badge printing and on-site logistics
Coordinate speaker travel and honoraria
Reconcile the conference budget against actuals after each event
Plan smaller regional meetings between conferences
What you bring
4+ years planning conferences of 500 or more attendees
Experience negotiating hotel and venue contracts
Comfort managing a full conference budget
Familiarity with rural or small-staff member organizations
Willingness to travel for site visits and the annual conference
