Digital Producer

The Alliance of Community Radio Stations is hiring a Digital Producer to turn its members' on-air programming into podcasts, newsletters and web features for 310 volunteer-powered stations.

The Alliance supports 310 volunteer-powered community radio stations from an 8-person staff in Richmond. Most member stations run on a handful of volunteers and don't have the time to repackage their programming for listeners who no longer tune in live. This role builds and runs that pipeline for the network.

• Produce a biweekly member podcast drawn from station programming submissions

• Write and send a monthly newsletter to station managers and volunteers

• Maintain the Alliance's website and post member station spotlights

• Edit audio and video clips for social media from member-submitted recordings

• Coordinate with station volunteers on rights, releases and submission deadlines

• Track engagement metrics across the podcast, newsletter and website

• Support live-stream production for the Alliance's annual conference sessions

• 2+ years producing audio or video content, ideally in public or community media

• Proficiency with an audio editing tool (Adobe Audition, Descript, or similar)

• Comfort working with volunteer contributors on inconsistent schedules

• Basic HTML or CMS experience for website updates

• Strong writing for a newsletter audience of station managers, not general listeners
