You will run certification and continuing-education programs for 2,700 county clerks and recorders on a seven-person Richmond staff. The job owns the guild's certification exam, its annual continuing-education requirements, and the online course library members use to renew.

The guild represents 2,700 county clerks and recorders responsible for maintaining land, court and vital records at the county level. Its seven-person staff in Richmond runs a certification program that most member counties require for senior records staff.
What you'll do
Administer the guild's certification exam, offered twice a year
Set and track continuing-education requirements for certified members
Build and maintain the online course library used for certification renewal
Recruit subject-matter experts to develop new courses on records retention and digitization
Manage the certification database and respond to member inquiries about renewal status
Report certification pass rates and renewal compliance to the board annually
Coordinate the education track at the guild's annual conference
What you bring
4+ years managing a certification or continuing-education program
Experience with learning-management platforms
Familiarity with public-records management, county government or archives is a plus
Strong organizational skills for tracking exam cycles and renewal deadlines across 2,700 members
Comfort presenting to member audiences at the annual conference
