You will run WCAG training courses and continuing-education programming for 4,100 accessibility consultants and ADA coordinators. You report to the COO and work from the society's Alexandria office alongside its policy and communications staff.
About Society of Accessible Design Professionals
The society represents 4,100 accessibility consultants and ADA coordinators with a staff of 17 in Alexandria, Virginia. COO Marcus Idowu also chairs NANA's Mid-Atlantic chapter, and Accessibility Program Lead Esperanza Villalobos-Nye co-authored the comments that moved NANA's Digital Accessibility Safe Harbor issue to monitoring status.
What you'll do
Run WCAG training courses and update them as the standard changes
Schedule and staff continuing-education sessions at conferences and online
Track course completions needed for members' continuing-education requirements
Recruit and manage volunteer instructors from the membership
Coordinate course content with the society's policy team on accessibility rulemaking
Report program participation and revenue to the COO
Maintain the education program's budget and vendor contracts
What you bring
4+ years managing continuing-education or certification programs
Working knowledge of WCAG standards and accessibility practice
Experience recruiting and managing volunteer instructors
Comfort with learning-management platforms
Clear written communication for course materials and member notices
