You will run a three-person staff serving 650 conservators and studios who restore and maintain stained glass in churches, courthouses and civic buildings. The guild's certification program and annual conference are its two largest programs, and both report to this role.

The guild represents 650 conservators and studios engaged in the restoration and maintenance of stained glass across the country. Its Philadelphia-based staff of three runs a certification program, an annual conference and a materials-sourcing network members rely on when historic glass and lead came become hard to find.

• Lead a three-person staff and set annual program and budget priorities for board approval

• Oversee the guild's conservator certification program, including exam standards and renewal audits

• Direct the annual conference, from program design to venue selection

• Represent the guild to preservation organizations, insurers and building owners

• Manage the guild's $1.4M operating budget and report financial results to the board quarterly

• Oversee member communications, including the quarterly journal

• Build relationships with materials suppliers to sustain the guild's sourcing network for historic glass and lead came

• Support the board's fundraising for the guild's apprenticeship stipend fund

• 7+ years in association or nonprofit management, ideally in preservation, craft trades or a certification-granting field

• Experience managing a certification or credentialing program

• Budget and staff management experience

• Comfort representing an organization publicly, including to preservation agencies and the press

• Familiarity with historic preservation practice is a plus, though prior glass-conservation experience is not required
