The Great Lakes Orchard Growers Association is hiring a Member Engagement Manager to run renewal outreach and communications for its 900 apple and cherry growers.
About Great Lakes Orchard Growers Association
The Association represents 900 apple and cherry growers from a 10-person staff in Lansing. Growers are spread across Michigan, Wisconsin and Ontario orchards, most reachable only by phone, email or an in-person visit during the growing season, and member renewal depends on staying in front of them between harvests.
What you'll do
Run the annual dues-renewal calendar and follow up with growers who lapse
Plan and staff regional grower meetings during the winter off-season
Maintain the member database and keep grower contact information current
Write the biweekly grower newsletter covering pest alerts, markets and events
Recruit new orchard operations at trade shows and through member referrals
Coordinate with the Association's field staff on grower site visits
Track renewal rate and engagement metrics for the board's quarterly report
What you bring
2+ years in membership, member services or agricultural extension work
Comfort with a CRM or membership database and basic email marketing tools
Willingness to travel to regional grower meetings during the winter season
Familiarity with orchard operations or a strong willingness to learn the sector
Clear, friendly writing for a grower audience that reads on their phone between orchard tasks
