You will run day-to-day operations for a six-person Portland staff serving 180 volunteer trail-maintenance organizations. You report to Executive Director Grace Lindqvist and own the federation's budget, grants tracking and office systems.

The federation represents 180 volunteer trail-maintenance organizations. Its six-person staff, led by Executive Director Grace Lindqvist, is based in Portland and coordinates grant-funded trail work across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
What you'll do
Manage the federation's operating budget and monthly financial reporting to Grace Lindqvist
Track federal and state grant awards used to fund member trail-maintenance projects
Oversee office systems, including the member database and grant-reporting calendar
Support HR functions for the six-person staff, including onboarding and benefits administration
Coordinate logistics for the federation's board meetings
Manage vendor contracts for insurance, IT and office services
Prepare grant compliance reports for federal and state trail-maintenance funding
What you bring
4+ years in nonprofit operations, finance or grants administration
Experience tracking grant compliance and reporting deadlines
Comfort managing budgets and vendor relationships
Strong organizational systems for a small staff
Familiarity with outdoor recreation, conservation or land-trust work is a plus
