CAE Credential Bootcamp (Spring 2028)

This bootcamp will cover all six domains of the Certified Association Executive exam over a single virtual day, ahead of the CAE program's May 1–14 spring testing window. Director of Learning and Credentialing Theo Nakashima-Ward and CAE study-group co-lead Jonah Whitcombe will teach all six domains between them. NANA prepares candidates for the CAE exam; it does not administer the exam itself, which is scheduled and graded by the CAE program.

Staff who plan to sit for the CAE in the May 2028 window. Both first-time candidates and staff retaking a domain are welcome, and staff who completed a domain in an earlier bootcamp will be able to register for individual sessions rather than the full day.

Registrants will receive a study guide covering all six domains and access to two full-length practice exams on Lanternfield Learning's platform, plus a full day of instruction organized by domain rather than by experience level: organizational management and governance, board and volunteer leadership, programs and credentialing, finance and non-dues revenue, marketing and technology, and a closing domain on legal, risk, and public policy.

Candidates who register by March 1 will receive last year's practice-exam results guide alongside this year's materials, to compare their own scores against the prior cohort's.

The bootcamp will run entirely on Zoom. Registrants will receive a calendar invite and platform login instructions one week before the session. Practice-exam access will remain open for 30 days after the bootcamp ends, and a recording of each domain session will be posted for registrants who miss part of the day. Lanternfield Learning's platform also hosts the on-demand courses in NANA's Learning catalog, so registrants can continue studying past domains after the live day ends.
