Who attended

Director of Digital Renée Okafor and Membership Engagement Manager Declan Moorfield hosted this orientation on June 10, 2026, five days after the member portal relaunched from the Summit stage. Built on the Civic Ledger Software platform, the portal is also the AMS behind single sign-on, event registration, and chapter directories for all six chapters at once.

What attendees left with

Okafor walked through the portal's four pieces — single sign-on, a unified resource library, event registration, and chapter directories — and how each replaces a system members had used separately before. Moorfield followed with a session on the renewal calendar and onboarding tools built on top of the same login.

Okafor was direct about the rollout's rough edge: single sign-on had locked out about 9% of member logins in the two weeks since launch, concentrated among members who hadn't reset a password since the migration. A fix was in progress but not yet complete. She gave attendees a direct support-line workaround for anyone still locked out, and asked members to report recurring errors rather than assume the problem was on their end.

"If your login isn't working, it's very likely not you. Tell us, and we'll get you in."

— Renée Okafor

Moorfield spent the second half of the session on the tools members would actually use week to week: the renewal calendar now visible to any member with portal access, and the chapter directory that replaced six separate chapter contact lists with one searchable record. He walked through a live search by chapter and by sector so attendees could see how their own organization's listing would appear.

Who should attend

The orientation is aimed at any member who registered for the Summit's portal preview or who simply wants a guided first login, including staff who weren't at the Summit and are hearing about the relaunch for the first time. Chapter officers were especially encouraged to attend, since the new directory pulls its listings directly from each chapter's records.

Access

The webinar was free, recorded, and open to all members, with the recording and a written troubleshooting guide distributed afterward.
