Pacific Northwest Spring Forum 2027

Pacific Northwest chapter members and any chapter leader curious about NANA's mobile-portal pilot should register for the spring forum, held May 13, 2027, in Portland. Chapter Chair Grace Lindqvist opens the day; her chapter was chosen as the pilot chapter when NANA's mobile release began in March 2027, following the 2026 desktop portal relaunch.

Ravi Deshpande-Cole, director of technology at the Council of Municipal Transit Planners, will lead a report-out on the pilot's first two months. Deshpande-Cole ran his own association's single-sign-on migration a year ahead of NANA's, and will compare notes on what a mobile rollout adds beyond a desktop portal already using SSO across all six chapters.

Attendees will get a live look at the mobile app's event registration and chapter-directory features, though the forum focuses on member and staff experience rather than a technical walkthrough. Lindqvist will close with a candid look at what the pilot got wrong in its first two months, including a login issue that locked out members who had set up SSO on the desktop portal but not yet on a mobile device. Chapter members who hit that issue are encouraged to describe it during the Q&A so Deshpande-Cole's team can confirm it's fixed before the mobile release reaches the other five chapters later in 2027.

Attendees who have already used the mobile pilot should bring specific examples of what worked and what didn't; the forum is meant to shape the rollout to the other chapters, not just report on Pacific Northwest's experience.
