A quarterly data brief on the dues increases member organizations are planning for fiscal year 2026.
The seventh brief in the State of Associations Quarterly series looks ahead to fiscal year 2026 dues planning, surveying member organizations mid-way through their FY2026 budget cycle about the size of dues increase they're planning, if any.
The brief finds a median planned increase of 3.8 percent, with organizations still on flat dues since before 2023 planning the largest single-year jumps, and closes with a look at how organizations are communicating a dues increase to members ahead of a renewal notice landing in their inbox.
Membership and finance staff will find this brief useful for benchmarking their own board's planned increase against peers before that number is finalized, rather than after a budget is already locked in for the coming fiscal year.
